Unique Pieces in Fluid Porcelain

Artist’s Statement :
I am Viorica Bocioc, romanian ceramic artist. IAC individual member.
I breath, therefore I exist.

My art : The act of creation is highly complex. Moments of creation are valuable if you make most of their presence.
I  always thought how to non-traditionally color a shape while it was being formed, so it just came naturally to me that I should color it without interfering with brush strokes. One must feel  when to shape a piece as well. Intuition guides me to find the moment when, where and how to do it, and especially when to stop. I only intervene where the form asks  for it, in the moments I feel to do it.
I only work with liquid porcelain.
I set out to create differently than is created and than my mind’s eye  has seen. Thus, I do not pour into shape, but rise the porcelain mass from two-dimensional  to three-dimensional  creating unique pieces, ennobled or not by color with unrepeatable  textures , effects or ,, porcelain’s flowing “ and I succeeded through original methods and techniques because from the start  I feel the final visual joy of the pieces.

While working my body and especially my lungs are many times, longing for a continuous breath of pure and clean air, due to the fact that focusing on the artistic object for a devoted artist breathing becomes less important than accomplishing a professional dream.  I realized that breathing  is the most important life – support. Breathing keeps us alive , as long as we breath we are still around, we continue to exist.
